Celebrant

Siobhan Miles-Moore

I am Siobhan-Miles Moore, born and adopted in London, happily brought up in the Lune Valley, which through all life’s twists and turns has always been home. The River Lune creates connections between The Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales, The Trough of Bowland and Morecambe Bay. It is a place of great beauty and community and has been my base for many wonderful adventures as well as my safe place in trickier times.

In 2024 I finally took the plunge and trained as a Celebrant. Working as a Celebrant has brought together an array of skills from every area of my life, my work as an artist, my work in education, and in business development and communication. The skills I’ve learned just through enjoying more than fifty curious journeys around the sun are pretty handy too! We can learn so much as we observe with and connect to the natural world.

What is Celebrancy?

I am passionate about the ways in which Celebrancy can enrich lives and enshrine meaning. Much of the richness in our lives comes from a sense of connection, to ideas, emotions, people or place. As human beings we need to connect. Building ceremony around key life events helps that sense of connection to thrive and grow.

Life events change us, whether that is through challenge or joy. As a Celebrant I help you to bring together your favourite ideas, emotions, people or places to celebrate and remember these events.

In the fast paced digital world most of us live in, with contracts, information and obligations swarming around us, we have to work hard to take time out, to be mindful, present or grounded. As a celebrant I will work with you to create a meaningful space in which you can process and embrace your changing life.

Whatever life event you are facing a wedding, a funeral; a naming or renaming it would be wonderful chat about how we might work together.
