My practice as a Funeral Celebrant holds at its heart the idea that a meaningful and well curated farewell is important. Honouring the unique human who is no longer present allows us to pause and reflect and celebrate the legacy they leave behind. Everyone is entitled to more that a few words, mumbled by an official with no understanding.

Increasingly we plan the practicalities of death; writing wills and trusts, planning for probate, paying for funerals or no fuss cremations, choosing a woodland or traditional burial plot. All economic and logistic considerations. Far less time is spent planning the details of ceremony or service. By valuing the emotional and spiritual transitions, at this time, we are better able to move into a new reality. A reality without the physical presence of our loved ones.
